I don't think the current economic system is a joke. It's not any funnier that it's our president who is looking at it that way. Besides, I wonder who it was handing out free cold ones at the party Wall Street hit up anyway.. :/

But I agree, our economy as is is a complete failure, in my opinion. We're relying completely on foreign governments to supply us with oil. We're in a war over oil. We can't find our way off of oil, and I can't buy a goddamn glass of lemonade without paying a dollar fifty! WHAT HAS AMERICA COME TO?!

We use so much oil, but with all these bases we're making in Iraq (which take oil to make the buildings, oil to run the generators that keep them cool, oil to build planes to run planes to build tanks, to run tanks.. etc) TO GET OIL, it's such a redundant mess, and the american people just keep digging the hole with shovels that they willingly accepted.
